A ridiculous amount of time went into capturing the sound of every fret of every single string in different tunings, multiple times, played by different picking fingers. After all that, even just the programming logic of GroveBass is insane. I cannot wait for people to check it out, and I look forward to seeing what they can do with it.
Tone Selector
Switch between DI, Clean, OD, Distortion and Lead tones. Each fine-tuned by ear to represent Simon's sound.
Fretboard
Every fret across all five strings individually sampled. The interactive fretboard shows where your programmed notes are being played.
Articulation
Use keyswitches to switch among twelve articulations: finger picking, ghost notes, slap, natural harmonics, hammer-ons and pull-offs, tapping, truSlides, and several mutes.
Alternate Picking
Tempo-synced alternate picking cycles through different recorded attacks to add variation to repeated notes.
DOOM
DOOM Mode limits playback to a smaller set of high-impact samples for a more consistent attack.
Humanize
Adds adjustable variation between notes so repeated parts sound less mechanical.
Position
Choose the fretboard position for each note, or let the engine choose automatically.
Mixer
Use Drive, Tone, Compression, and Girth to fit the bass into your mix.
Settings
Set the keyswitches, bass tuning, and pitch-bend range.
DI
Recorded direct.

I've spent hours over the years listening to the unique sound of Simon's bass and hands in my ears, both on tour and in the studio. Having that sound flawlessly replicated in a plugin, and hearing it come out of my speakers, playing whatever I tell it to via MIDI, is absolutely surreal.
