Pre-Update

  • File Locations:
    • VST3: C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3
    • AAX: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Avid\Audio\Plug-Ins
    • Presets: Documents\SubMission Audio\DoubleTap\Presets
    • Manual: Documents\SubMission Audio\DoubleTap\Manual
    • Uninstaller: Files in C:\Windows (uninst00x.exe, .dat, .msg)
  • Windows Settings:
    • Go to Settings > Apps > Installed Apps and note the DoubleTap uninstall entry (do not use it yet).
  • Session Testing:
    • Open your DAW (e.g., Reaper, Cubase) using the old VST3 (and AAX, if available) version.
    • Create and save a custom preset named “old version” using the default location.

Update: Run the New Installer

  • New Installation Locations:
    • VST3: C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3\SubMission Audio
    • AAX: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Avid\Audio\Plug-Ins\SubMission Audio
    • Presets: C:\ProgramData\SubMission Audio\DoubleTap\Presets
    • Manual: C:\ProgramData\SubMission Audio\DoubleTap\Manual
    • Uninstaller: C:\ProgramData\SubMission Audio\DoubleTap\Uninstall
  • Installer Actions:
    • Moves presets from Documents to the new location
    • Deletes old preset/manual files and uninstall entry
    • Removes uninstaller files from C:\Windows
    • Deletes old VST3/AAX files outside the SubMission Audio subfolders

Post-Update

  • Reopen your DAW sessions and verify the plugin loads (both VST3 and AAX).
  • Confirm that the old presets appear in the preset menu.
  • Test saving a preset to ensure it uses the new location.

macOS

Download DoubleTap 1.0.4 for macOS

Pre-Update

  • File Locations:
    • VST3: /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3
    • AAX: /Library/Application Support/Avid/Audio/Plug-Ins
    • Audio Unit (AU): /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components (may be in a subfolder)
    • Presets: ~/Documents/SubMission Audio/DoubleTap/Presets
    • Manual: ~/Documents/SubMission Audio/DoubleTap/Manual
  • Session Testing:
    • Open your DAW (e.g., Logic, Cubase, Pro Tools) using the old versions (VST3, AAX, AU).
    • Create and save a preset (“old version”) using the default location.
  • Note: There is no uninstaller on macOS.

Update: Run the New Installer

  • New Installation Locations:
    • Presets & Manual: /Library/Application Support/SubMission Audio/DoubleTap/Presets and /Library/Application Support/SubMission Audio/DoubleTap/Manual

Flatline 2.0.6

Windows

Download Flatline 2.0.6 for Windows

  • No Data Migration: No old data to move.
  • New Plugin Subdirectory: Plugins are now installed in dedicated subfolders (e.g., C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3\SubMission Audio).
  • Functionality Testing:
    • Open your DAW and load Flatline 2
    • Verify the plugin loads and presets work as expected

macOS

Download Flatline 2.0.6 for macOS

  • Old Data Location: Previously stored in ~/Library (not ~/Documents).
  • Update Process:
    • The installer moves old data from ~/Library to the new location and deletes the old files.
  • New Plugin Subdirectory:
    • VST3: /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3/SubMission Audio
    • AAX (if applicable): /Library/Application Support/Avid/Audio/Plug-Ins/SubMission Audio
    • AU: /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components/SubMission Audio
  • Functionality Testing:
    • Open your DAW (e.g., Logic, Cubase, Pro Tools) and load Flatline 2
    • Verify that the plugin loads correctly and presets are properly migrated
