The Source
Dingwall NG-2, factory stock.
DjinnBass 2 samples a factory-stock Dingwall NG-2 in its most aggressive pickup configuration. Pick and finger performances cover low-tuned parts down to C0.

Features
Every control, explained.
Hover over a control to see what it does.
Tone Selector
Switch between DI, Grit, and Distortion tones. Each one is tuned to stay clear at extremely low tunings.
Fretboard
We sampled every fret on all five strings. The interface shows where the engine plays each MIDI note.
Articulation
Use keyswitches to switch among 18 articulations. The display shows the active articulation.
Alternate Picking
Tempo-synced picking algorithm with deep round robin. No repeated samples, no matter the speed.
DOOM
Collapse the round robin for maximum power and consistency. Less variation, more impact.
Humanize
Adds adjustable variation between notes so repeated parts sound less mechanical.
Position
Choose the fretboard position for each note, or let the engine choose automatically.
Mixer
Adjust levels and tone parameters. Open the mixer to dial in exactly the sound you want.
Settings
Configure keyswitches, tuning, bend range, and other instrument preferences.
Playstyle select
Select pick or finger playing.
3 potent tones.
DI to Annihilation.
Our design ethos behind DjinnBass 2 is to deliver the most crushing bass tones possible without needing to mess around for clarity at extremely low tunings. Dual-sampled with both pick and fingers, it's like having two bass libraries in one.
DI
Pure capture. Shape it your way.
DI
The raw Dingwall NG-2, recorded direct through studio-grade hardware. Use it with your own plugins, pedals, or amps.
Grit
Mid-gain bite that sits under guitars.
Grit
The workhorse tone. Analog-modelled saturation through a driven amp stage gives Grit the midrange push to punch through dense arrangements without fighting the guitars.
Distortion
More gain and midrange grind.
Distortion
Dist adds a second amp stage above Grit, increasing midrange texture for low-tuned metal.
Sampled with fresh strings for a bright, consistent tone with no wear.
Engine
Built for playable bass parts.
truBass powers every Submission Audio bass with fretboard mapping, round robins, real-time slides, and Humanize.
truBass Engine
Velocity layers, round robins, and string-aware playback change how each note responds.
Dual-Sampled
DjinnBass 2 includes separate pick and finger samples. Switch playstyle without loading a second instrument.
truSlides
Slide between any two notes at any speed. truSlides generates each transition in real time instead of playing a fixed recording.
Free Kontakt Player
Runs in the free Kontakt Player. You do not need to buy Kontakt.
truBass
Fretboard mapping, alternate picking, slides, and Humanize in one engine.
truBass maps recorded notes and articulations across a playable fretboard. Velocity layers, round robins, and position mapping vary playback between notes.
truSlides
Slide between any two notes at any speed. truSlides generates the transition in real time instead of playing a fixed recording.
Multi-sampled fretboard
Every fret position across the entire instrument has been individually sampled. Notes are performed where a real bassist would play them.
Intelligent picking
Tempo-synced alternate picking with deep round robin. No repeated samples, no matter how fast you write.
Humanize
Humanize varies timing, dynamics, and tone. Increase it to reduce repetition, or turn it off for exact playback.
DOOM mode
DOOM mode limits playback to a smaller set of high-impact samples. Use it when every note needs the same attack.
Position and force string
Choose each note's fretboard position and lock notes to specific strings.

I was WAY more impressed with this instrument than I thought I would be! This bass is my new go to / default for when I'm writing and working on new ideas now. The low end is insanely stable and the attention to detail you're able to automate is very intuitive!

DjinnBass has become a staple of my home recording process. I'm quite spoiled when it comes to bass guitar on Periphery records, given Nolly's awesome bass tone, and DjinnBass is the only bass software I've encountered that comes close to replicating that grindy, snarling quality that meshes so well with the guitar tones we typically go for.

DjinnBass 2
It’s misrepresented in the video.
Really pleased with this plugin right out of the box. The DI mode makes the plugin really flexible, and the grit mode is such a go to for heavy tones. My only gripe with the plug in is that it can be a little tinny, and I find the 3rd distortion option to be too much. But hey, that's what it was advertised as so I'm really not mad. Would highly recommend this plugin.
Easy to program and mixing is a breeze. Really like the tone.
Fantastic, easy to use. Multiple modes to get the sound you’re looking for.
Incredible tone. The DI sounds fantastic and the finished tone sounds incredibly believable. I thought this would be more of a "quick demo writing " plugin but I could see this ending up in my finished mixes. The Di tone alone is quite a bit better than what I could capture with my own setup. 100% worth the money.
